LAP­SA (Lat­vi­jas Augst­sko­lu pe­da­go­gu sa­darbības aso­ciā­ci­ja) ir pro­fe­sio­nā­la biedrība, kas izvei­do­ta 1998. ga­da 11. sep­tembrī un dar­bo­jas uz paš­pār­val­des principiem. Aso­ciā­ci­ju ir dibinā­juši un tajā darbojas Lat­vi­jas augst­sko­lu – Dau­gav­pils Uni­ver­si­tā­tes, Lat­vi­jas Uni­ver­si­tā­tes, Lat­vi­jas Spor­ta pe­da­goģi­jas akadē­mi­jas, Lie­pā­jas Universitātes, Rēzek­nes Augst­sko­las, Latvijas Lauksaimniecības universitātes, Latvijas Policijas akadēmijas, Rīgas Pedagoģi­jas un izglītības vadības augst­sko­las – docētāji, ku­ri pie­dalī­jās So­ro­sa fon­da – Latvija pro­jek­tā “Sadarbība un pie­re­dze kā no­vi­tā­te sko­lo­tā­ju izglītībā”.

Biedrības mērķis ir vei­ci­nāt sadarbības pētniecības, koo­pe­ratī­vās mācī­ša­nās un dažādu interaktīvo me­tožu ie­vie­ša­nu izglītībā, sekmēt augst­sko­lu docē­tā­ju, stu­den­tu un sko­lo­tā­ju piere­dzes ap­maiņu, sa­darbību un pro­fe­sio­nā­lās meis­tarī­bas iz­aug­smi.

LAP­SA dar­bo­jas šā­dos vir­zie­nos:

  • sa­darbība ar augst­sko­lām un sko­lām un ci­tām biedrībām;
  • pro­fe­sio­nā­lā iz­aug­sme (tā­lā­kizglītības kur­si, se­mi­nā­ri, pe­da­goģiskās prak­ses, stu­di­ju kursi, pro­jek­ti);
  • pētīju­mi, piedalīšanās kon­fe­ren­cēs, zi­nāt­nis­ko dar­bu vadīšana;
  • mācī­bu ma­te­riā­li (vei­do­ša­na, tul­ko­ša­na, iz­do­ša­na);
  • in­for­mā­ci­ja un pie­re­dzes ap­maiņa (mā­jas la­pa, pub­li­kā­ci­jas, resursu un in­for­mā­ci­jas cen­tri, sa­biedrības in­formēša­na).

Announcement

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to invite you to participate in the International Conference “Cooperation FOR Sustainable Education: Management, Research, Practice, AND Theory” organized by Latvian Association of University Lecturers for Cooperation in Education in cooperation with Daugavpils University, Liepaja University, University of Latvia, Latvian Academy of Sports Education, Rezekne Higher Education Institution, Latvian Academy of Police, and Latvia University of Agriculture. The conference will be held in “Ratnieki,” Ligatnes pagasts, Cesu region, Latvia on April 26 – 29, 2009.

The main goal of the conference is to promote international collaboration in all educational fields and disciplines, which are connected to social aspects of education such as cooperative learning. This conference is organized to foster an international debate, exchange of ideas, and reflection of innovative practices for educators using cooperative learning in education.

The conference will provide diverse opportunities for exchanging ideas, including key-note speeches, discussion groups, indoor and outdoor cooperative learning activities, cooperative reflection and evaluation activities, culture events and informal interaction.

Discussion groups will be organized according to four main strands:

  • Cooperative learning and education process (pre-school, school, higher education)
  • Cooperative learning and education theory
  • Cooperative learning and education management
  • Cooperative learning and education research

The main languages of the conference will be English and Latvian.

Important dates:
Registration is open: October 1, 2008
Presentation (discussion/ CL learning activity) description and/or abstract submission deadline: January 31, 2009
Notification of acceptance/rejection: February 15, 2009
Final paper submission deadline: March 15, 2009

About us

We are the Latvian Association for Cooperation in Education (LACE), Reg. Nr. 40008037800 – a professional non-governmental organization, founded on September 11, 1998, by professors of Latvia higher education establishments. Our association is a member of IASCE (International Association for the Study of Cooperation in Education).

Our goal is to facilitate research and implementation of cooperative learning and other interactive teaching/learning methods in education, promote exchange of experience and collaboration among university lecturers, students and schoolteachers, and provide in-service education.

Our association works in the following areas:

  • Cooperation (with higher education institutions and schools, as well as other associations);
  • Professional development (in-service courses, workshops, teaching practice, study courses, pro­jects);
  • Research (conferences, scientific papers, publication files);
  • Teaching and learning materials (development, translation, publication);
  • Information and sharing experience (home page, publications, resource/in­for­mation cen­ters, mass media).

Our association offers a possibility to experience new teaching and learning methods “on your own skin” shares experience about new teaching materials, and provides information about the latest evaluation and assessment methods.
