The suggested sub-theme of the ATEE Spring University 2010 is "Research, understanding, self-evaluation, and evaluation of educational achievements".
Teacher education for learner-centred teaching covers all essential aspects of teaching-learning to organize a holistic, targeted, and meeting the learners’ needs pedagogical process. Learners’ achievements in the constantly changing environment become especially important for the development of their many-sided abilities, compatibility and a cultured person. What is the educators’, teachers’ and learners’ understanding of achievements, how to fill in the gaps between teachers’ attempts in organizing an effective pedagogical process and its outcomes, can outcomes be considered achievements? All these and many other questions appear when teachers and educators reflect on their practices. They seek for answers in a constantly changing social environment, teacher educational and schooling programmes.
Let us investigate, discuss and come to productive ideas how to better perform in favour of the quality of the learners’ and students’ achievements, teachers’ and educators’ professional development, research productivity in the span of life-long education.
Possible topics of the con-current sessions
The organizing Committee will be pleased to receive articles on any problem of teacher pre- and post-diploma education, especially welcome are those which deal with teachers’ and educators’ research in the learners’ achievements – problems, productive practices, findings, theoretical statements, assessment, evaluation. This sub-theme can be contextualised with any of the proposed con-current sessions.
The list of the sub-topics of this conference is preliminary and will be adjusted to the essence of the submitted proposals, if necessary.
